Inspiration to Execution: Vol. 4

I already wrote about how I spent most of the summer traveling, which has stretched into the fall. (Because hey, why not?) One of the inspirational places that I went was the Bar Harbor area of Maine. Bar Harbor, in case you don't know, is the home of Acadia National Park. Acadia is a park made up of private land donations by wealthy-yet-visionary citizens who wanted to maintain this gorgeous place for all of us. And it's beautiful. Like really, really beautiful. In particular, I found the rocky Maine coast to be inspiring. I took lots of pictures of rocks.

The neutral color palette, the subtle contrasts, the strong lines....it all works, right? Here's the bangle set that came out of that, which sold at Art on the Avenue last month.

Inspiration is everywhere, if you are looking for it.
